Joy Ewing reported that she cannot add a new course in the CIC using IE7 --> the result is an "error on page" when clicking the final "Submit" button.  This is verified by HelpDesk1.

Developer Comments

The "error on page" represents a JavaScript error. In prior versions of Internet Explorer you could double-click the icon next to the error message and you would be prompted with an option to show details. Below is the exact error from Internet Explorer when expanding the show details section.

When using several applications and viewing several pages (behind the scences) such as the Campus Center/CAPs/CRC, IE7 will display all items on the page appropriately at first visit, but on second visit will issue a warning about displaying both secure and non-secure items.  I have not found a pattern as of yet, but have seen the behavior, for example, if you add a student in CAPs to a course and then "return to Campus Center" -- on the return IE7 prompts you as to whether or not you want to display all the items on the page.  I have not seen this behavior with other browsers.  -- BLB
